White orthogonal bipyramidal crystal or crystalline powder. Bitter and salty, odorless. Melting point about 800℃; d2.7. Moisture absorption, easy to absorb three molecules of water in humid air. Soluble in water and glycerin, insoluble in ethanol. The aqueous solution is neutral. The solubility is maximum at 33℃ (1:2), the solubility decreases at higher temperature, and the solubility is dissolved in 2.4 parts of water at 100℃. When the aqueous solution is lower than 32.38 ℃, it crystallizes out as decahydrate, and when it is higher than 32.38 ℃, it begins to crystallize out as anhydrous sodium sulfate.
